One comment on “Mikhail

  1. We have a number of projects where we could benefit from somebody with solid understanding of hardware and programming skills. For example we work on “practical synchrony” in data centers (achieving very stable low latency interaction across hosts by leveraging novel programmable network interface controllers and switches), or on using machine learning for improving network communication (e.g., traffic engineering and congestion control using network flow bandwidth predictions). We are also in the process of setting up a new research data center with latest generation hardware. We work in close collaboration with industrial partners like SAP (cf. https://www.inf.usi.ch/faculty/eugstp/positions/SAP/ad.html). Internships and visits are also a possibility.
